Behind the Gems - GIA 🤍💎

I’ve always had a fascination for gems and jewelry, but growing up in a country where the jewelry industry was not prominent, it meant that jewelry was this mystic category that came from a land far away and was only fit for royals. Tapping into the market would be, in a few words, impossible. I wanted to be the best. I wanted to know everything there possibly was to know: where, what, how, when— all of it. If it was jewelry-related, that’s where you’d find me. I did some research, and everything pointed to GIA. I had no background, so it was clear: that was my first step onto this never-ending epic saga.

In 2016, I took my first real steps into the jewelry industry. My mind grew, my heart grew more. I met people, and I keep meeting incredible people. I was forced to travel, and I keep traveling in search of perfect gems. I know more about gems than the back of my hand. GIA gave me the credibility I needed, but the next 8 years gave me the happiness I didn’t know I was looking for. A gem universe filled with mazes, kings and queens, antagonists and villains, literal gold-filled treasure chests, and magic. Pure magic.

I quickly learned that to truly make it, I’d have to be a scientist, a designer, a world trotter, a socialite, a silversmith, a gemologist, a personal shopper, a psychiatrist, and many times a jester.

Jewelry, to me, is a whole universe. I hope to bring this passion from my heart to your jewels.

watch an idea become immortal 🥹🤍 - it started with a DM; she was looking for a special sapphire ring - originally inspired by Lady Di. Coincidently i was in Sri Lanka sourcing sapphires, & thanks to social media we picked the perfect blue. A month later, we met & had the most amazing talk about life, love, pain, goals, futures. She designed her own ring, playing around with diamonds and stones, trying to capture the essence of her story. 3 coffees later and cheek pains due to laughter, this ring was born. ✨🤍 it took about 5 weeks to finish due to high detail and structure. I honestly think it might mean more to me at this point. I’ll never stop thanking amazing humans that trust my process. Thank you is not enough. 🥹✨✨✨✨ This is pure magic and the essence of existence becoming timeless. - not seen here, 3 stones representing her marriage and family 🥹
